I live in an old building (Built 1910). The building was gut renovated in 2007 but the work that was done on the roof was not the best quality. I was concerned that an inspection of the roof to determine what was needed would be biased coming from a roofing company, so I paid for an inspection from Max Cohen since he is an independent certified inspector. As others have mentioned, I also reached out to Max after finding them listed in the National Roof Certification & Inspection Association database after reading the WSJ Article "Ugh. Do I Really Need a New Roof Right Now." He came to inspect my roof and balcony within about 2 weeks of my contacting him. He produced a detailed report (with pictures!) highlighting all of the problem areas on my roof and balcony. I was planning on replacing the balcony based on feedback from a roof contractor, but Max found where the leaks were coming from and told me that a new roof isn't necessary once those problem areas are fixed. While the report wasn't cheap, he already saved me money from having to do an expensive replacement! For the roof he found the source of my water issues and gave me concrete advice on how to fix those issues and prevent further water issues. He was worth the money, and he actually was one of the cheaper roofers I contacted. Highly recommended!
